I have no fallopian tubes, but the Dr said I can still get pregnant naturally?

February 24th, 2011

I had my Dr whom I did IVF with 2 years tell me that I was mis-informed when I was told that I couldn’t get pregnant still naturally. He stated that during the dye test, a hole had formed leading into the uterus, dye spilled out it on the xray, but I do NOT have tubes. I had to have them removed. The Dr said that since I still have an opening to my uterus, that I am still able to concieve, just my chances are VERY slim. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? Any stories of this? I believe it is a miracle by God… I just want to know if any one else has EVER heard this before.

I have heard of this. Its similar to woman getting pregant after tubal ligation—very rare, but sometimes an egg just doesn’t give up.

i have never heard of this. when you ovulate the egg travels down in your fallopian tubes to wait for possible fertilization. Without a fallopian tube, i don’t see how that’s possible. But then again like you said, God does work in mysterious ways.

You cannot get pregnant naturally without tubes. The tubes are what carries the egg to the uterus. IVf is the only way, i don’t know what he’s talking about.
